About the band

Calling Beech Grove, IN home, the band of five took its name from the famous Cab Calloway sing-a-long.

The spirit of that song is the foundation for the loose, fun atmosphere that is an evening with the band.

With a song list that leans on classic 70’s rock, the sets also contain plenty of dance, audience participation and ballads, that keep the dance floor full all night.

Never tied down to a set list, the evening can take twists and turns to flow with the crowd. It’s all about the audience having fun and enjoying a night of classic rock tunes that are sure to rekindle good memories and make new ones.

Vince Kinman (Lead Vocals) Coming a long way from singing the National Anthem before high school games, Vince is the consummate front man and focal point of the band. Singing songs from AC/DC to James Brown to Chicago, his biggest strength is connecting with the audience from the first note and keeping everyone in party mode. After a successful run with the Time Travelers, Vince took some time off, before forming the Moochers.

With 5 decades of experience, Singer/Songwriter Brian Schafer is a walking history lesson in the Indy musical landscape. With a list of band mates and stories too numerous to mention, Brian formed and fronted Boss Tweed of Indianapolis, Original recording band, Alice in Wonderland and  The Brian Schafer Band, and from 1989 to 1991 was the band leader of the  Ricky and the Rowdies, 10 pc Mo-town band. an Indianapolis institution that  played to large crowds for years. His vast catalog of songs, storytelling, and good time vocals are just a few of the things that keep the band and crowds in a party mood.
